Mr. Foster McHugh, Sr, 84 of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015. Mr. McHugh was at home, surrounded by his friends and family.

Mr. McHugh was a native of Morgan County. He was born in Fairplay on April 30, 1930. His parents were James F. and Willie Mae Few McHugh. He was a graduate of Morgan County High School. Mr. McHugh was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea.

He was married to the late Nellie Lankford. They made their home in Morgan County and Mr. McHugh worked for Hunt & Company and later Ivan Allen for a total of 33 years. He was an ordained deacon at Harmony Baptist Church but recently became of member of Redeemer Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. McHugh loved his family.

Mr. Foster McHugh is survived by his son, Corry McHugh and Cheryl and a grandson, Trey McHugh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie McHugh, as well as his siblings, Willie Mood Harper, Evelyn Brown, Edward McHugh and Mack McHugh.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10-11am at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at the Madison City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Church.
