Andrew Jonathan Hackney, 38 of Rutledge, died August 2, 2017.  

 

Drew was the son of the late Gary Bruce Hackney and Sarah Frances Hitchcock.  Drew was born February 23, 1979 in Columbia, SC.  

 

He worked as a grill cook.  He enjoyed playing bass guitar and attending sporting events.  Drew liked camping and gaming.

 

Drew Hackney is survived by a sister, Jennifer Moss and Andrew and a step brother, Richard Wright and Ginger.  He leaves his step-mother Beth Hackney and an aunt and uncle Suzanne Wilson and Bill.  He also is survived by a cousin Jim Kelly, a niece Mary-Leonard Moss and nephews Avery Wright and Tucker Wright.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 17 from 2-4 p.m. at A. E. Carter Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at the Madison City Cemetery.
