Death of Venerable Woman
On Friday last at her home in Godfrey occurred the death of Mrs. Adaline Harwell. She was 84 years old, and was one of the best known and most beloved women in that section. The funeral services were held at the grave Saturday afternoon and interment was in the city cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. C.B. Jones, pastor of Antioch church, assisted by Rev. R.L. Bolton, pastor of Madison Baptist Church. The deceased was a faithful member of Antioch church and was a pious consecrated Christian woman. She and her husband were cultured people of strong mind and high character, and belonged to that class of people who were potent factors in the development of Middle Georgia. The deceased is survived by one daughter, Miss Mattie Harwell, and two sons, Messrs. Littleton and Cornelius Harwell, all of Godfrey.
