Arden, NC - Mark Layne Jenkins, 46, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011. A native of North Georgia, he was the son of Dr. C. Layne Jenkins of Madison, GA and of the late Patsy Fowler Jenkins. He was a loving father and husband. He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Emory University Law School. He had been a practicing attorney in Waynesville for 20 years. Mark is survived by his wife Sally Sharp Jenkins; three sons, Taylor Layne, Alexander Mark and Penn Stone Jenkins of the home; two sisters, Hope Bankston of Barnesville, GA and Amanda Lawson of Gray, GA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by his uncle, the Reverend Hoyt E. Jenkins. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Madison City Cemetery in Madison, GA.
