ADDISON EUGENE VERDA MAE BARNETT
"Son" NUNNALLY Jr. NUNNALLY
Addison Eugene "Son" Nunnally died Tuesday, August 11 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens, following a short illness.
He was born in Greene County, Oct. 25, 1901, the son of the late Addison Eugene Nunnally and Bessie Veal Nunnally. A retired farmer, Mr. Nunnally resided at 1721 Greensboro Road, Madison. He was a member of Salem Methodist Church in Oconee County and was a member of Madison Lodge Number 376 F&AM. His wife, the former Verna Mae Barnett, died several years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. today, Thursday, August 13 at Simmons Funeral Chapel, with interment at Morgan Memorial Park. The Reverend Jack Segars and the Reverend Butch Lee will officiate.
He is survived by two sons, William Eugene Nunnally, of Eatonton, and Richard Corry Nunnally, of Madison, a sister, Miss Hilda Nunnally, of Buckhead, a brother, Mr. Jake T. Nunnally of Buckhead, four grandchildren, Mr. Gene Nunnally, Eatonton, Mrs. Janet Cronic, Mrs. Vickie McLain, and Mr. Richard Nunnally, Jr., all of Madison, and four great grandchildren.
Simmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
