Larkin Bargo

Lark Bargo, 79 of Greensboro, Georgia went home to be with the Lord he loved on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. He went peacefully at home with his family beside him. He had battled many health issues.

Lark owned and operated Larkin Used Cars, Incorporated in Madison for nearly twenty years.

Born to Cash and Ellen Bargo in Kentucky, Lark was one of nine children. He was a fearless youth whom family remembers often climbing a tree by the house to get onto the roof. Lark was protective of his siblings, especially his sisters.

Longing to travel, Lark served faithfully, for a time, in the US Air Force. He returned home from overseas in time to be with his beloved mother before she passed. As a civilian, Lark went into sales, something he would work at and enjoy the rest of his life.

Mr. Bargo was blessed with a son, Brian Bargo and was proud of his accomplishments. A grandson, Chase Bargo, born to Brian and wife, Lisa, brought Lark much joy.

In recent years, he met and married Rachel Glover. They loved to travel, go to church and watch western movies together.

Lark will be remembered for always helping others. Talking about his adventures, selling cars and reading the Bible were his favorite things to do.

Mr. Bargo was preceded in death by his sisters Irene Bargo and Mary Warren; brothers, JM Bargo and Bob Bargo; a wife, Dorothy Bargo and a step-son, David Stephens.

Surviving him is a brother, Randall Bargo; sisters Ruby Farrell, Esther Hammons and Ginny Griesaever and husband, Danny; a son, Brian Bargo and wife, Lisa; a grandson, Chase Bargo; stepson, Dennis Stephens; step-daughters, Debra Copeland and husband, Kenny, Sabrina Polites and husband, Chris, Waverly Wiseman and husband Shawn and numerous step grandchildren whom he adored.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 29 at 10AM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be in the chapel at 11AM on June 29. Interment will follow at the Madison City Cemetery.
