Robert Hayes Bradberry, 73, of Madison, died October 6, 2007. Mr. Bradberry was born October 14, 1933 in Oconee County. He was the son of the late William Nute Bradberry and Gladys Hayes Bradberry.

Mr. Bradberry served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After service, he married Elizabeth Miller on August 30, 1959, the Bradberry's have made their home in Madison for the past 47 years. Mr. Bradberry was an active member of Madison First United Methodist Church. He retired from Harris Home Furnishings in Madison.

Mr. Bradberry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Liz Bradberry of Madison and their daughter, Teresa B. Stanfill & Steve of Elberton. Also surviving is one granddaughter, Beth Pittard & Matt of Athens. Other survivors include Mr. Bradberry's Mother, Gladys Bradberry; his Mother-in-law, Mattie Miller; and his three brothers, Bill Bradberry & Mae Ruth, Harry Bradberry & Liz and Jim Bradberry.

The family received friends from 6 until 8 pm on Sunday. The funeral service was held 2 pm Monday at the Madison First United Methodist Church. Interment followed at Madison Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Madison First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
