Mr. John Marshall Givens, 72 of Madison died on July 23, 2013. He was a native of Mississippi. Mr. Givens was an educator, last serving as a principal in the Fulton County School System. After retirement, he and his wife, Patricia Hensley Givens, moved to Madison. Mr. Givens enjoyed life on the farm since moving to Madison. He also liked to camp and spend time with his grandchildren. He was also active in the Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Givens is survived by his wife Patricia as well as two daughters, Patrece Keeter & John and Sheryl Gantz & Stephen. He also has two grandchildren, Olivia and John-Marshall Keeter.

The family will receive friends on Friday for 5-7pm at A.E.Carter Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 2pm in the chapel. Interment will follow at the Madison City Cemetery.
