Betty Lou Hilsman, age 79, passed away on March 11, 2020. She was born February 18, 1941 in Redondo Beach, CA. She and her brother, Ted, moved to Gypsum, KS when she was four years old to live with her grandparents. She married Robert T Hilsman, Jr. on September 20, 1957.

Mrs. Hilsman is survived by her husband of 62 years and three children, Marvin Hilsman and Beckie, Debbie Vaughan and William and Danny Hilsman and Denise. She leaves grandchildren, Jessica Stanley (Billy), Ashley Mercardante (Vincent), Shanna Addison (Drew), Jill Thompson (Jeff), Eric Vaughan(Alex), Shawn Hilsman (Elizabeth) and Paige Hilsman. She also leaves ten great grandchildren.

Betty, known to many as MeMa, loved cooking for her family and enjoying family get togethers. Christmas was her favorite time of the year.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Madison City Cemetery.
