Evelyn Davis Milstead, 87 of Buckhead died on December 28, 2010. She was a native of Columbus, GA. She was born on September 19, 1923 to Charles and Mardell Brannen Davis. She was the wife of the late Milton George Milstead.

Mrs. Milstead was a member of the Madison Presbyterian Church, as well as the Primetimers, Garden Club and Habitat for Humanity.

Mrs. Milstead is survived by one daughter, Martha Poplin & Fred of Buckhead. Surviving grandchildren are April Hamrick & Terry, Heather & Shaun Streit, Adam Poplin & Brandy, Jennifer Burris & Jeremy, Ana Pettitt & Randy, Dwayne Johnson, Christopher Temple and Johnny Johnson. Mrs. Milstead also has great grandchildren, Anabel and Alex Streit and Andrew and Mateah Pettitt. Mrs. Milstead was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Milton Milstead and a daughter, Tracy Miller.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 6 until 8 pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on December 30, 2010 at 11 am at the Madison Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at the Madison City Cemetery.
