Mabel Lucille Creek Moss

Mabel Lucille Creek Moss went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 10, 2011. She was born in Greene County, Georgia on October 4, 1919, and grew up in Madison Georgia. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

Her lifelong mission was to share the gospel, and she was a living testimony to her family and to everyone she met. She attributed her amazing strength to her Lord. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and reading; but her greatest joy was her family. She was a member of Monticello Baptist Church and enjoyed attending Crossroads Baptist Church in Social Circle. Previously she had been a member of Rutledge Baptist Church for many years.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Melvin Moss, son James Moss, grandson John Fish, brother Carter Creek and parents James (Jim) and Sally Creek.

She is survived by her children Lawrence Moss and Ozell, Lawson Moss and Rebecca, Dianne Moss, Joyce Moss Dunn and Allen, Geneva Moss Copeland and David, Joan Moss Fish and Jake, Ricky Moss and Jean, and Nathan Moss; and grandchildren David Moss, Michelle Moss Wadkins, Richard Moss and Jamie, Scarlett Moss Temple and Harold, Jeff Moss and Mary Ann, Greg Moss and Mary Jane, Chris Moss and Tonia, Ben Dunn and Maurine, Sonya Dunn Story and Jeff, Boyce Dunn and Karen, Richard Haymore and Janet, Terry Haymore and Yvonne, Todd Haymore and Christy, Jamie Wise and Nikie, John David Copeland, Chris Copeland, Mary Dell Fish, Tambra Fish Mitchell and Pac, Matthew Chastain and Jennifer, Julie Fish Carter and Kip, Lynn Blankinship and Steven, and Gennie Lynn Moss; and 45 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your local church.
