Andrew Boyd Pritchard, 84 of Madison, passed away on October 9, 2011. Mr. Pritchard was the son of Daniel and Frances Boyd Pritchard. He was born on April 25, 1927 in Charleston, WV. He was a veteran of the United States navy, having served during World War II. He was married to the late Betty R. Pritchard.

Mr. Pritchard grew up in West Virginia. He spent 30 years in Fort Meyers, FL before moving to Madison in 1981. Upon moving to Madison, he purchased land that he developed as a tree farm. Mr. Pritchard enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting and fishing. He is remembered as a man’s man.

Mr. Pritchard is survived by his children, Bill & Renee Pritchard, Betty Hunter & Dr. Randall McKean, Elizabeth Pritchard and Dan Pritchard. His grandchildren are Mary Elizabeth Selander (Brian), Andrew Boyd Pritchard II, Mary Cameron Chumley (Chris). He has one great grandchild, Russell Mason Chumley and another, Masyn Pritchard Selander is due to be born soon. Mr. Pritchard is preceded in death by his wife, Betty as well as two grandchildren, Sarah Pritchard and Taylor Pritchard.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11 am in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home. Rev. Layne Jenkins will officiate.
