A sad Death. Francis Gratton (Reid), son of Hon. and Mrs. J. S. Reid, died in this city last Monday morning at half past eight o’clock, from internal injuries received from the kick of a horse the evening before. He was about ten years of age, and had been sadly afflicted for the past two years, resulting from an attack of scarlet fever… The sadness, in this instance because Mrs. Reid, his mother, being absent from home on a visit to her friends, in Eatonton. She left her little afflicted child in usual health, to find him a corpse on her return…”
