Micheal Anthony Thomas, 52, died March 29, 2017. He was born February 24, 1965 to Mattie Thomas and the late Roy Jones. He was preceded in death by his sisters Ann Cain and Gloria Thomas and his brothers Larry Thomas and Eugene Gober.

His work included the roofing and railway industries. His favorite job was farming. He was most satisfied on a tractor. He was also the go-to person in the neighborhood when people needed help.

Micheal leaves to cherish his memory his son Brandon Gibbs and his grandson Jamal Cobb; his mother Mattie Thomas Jones; his sisters Meschele (Ralph) Clark, Angeline (Henry) Davis and Joann Thomas Sheats, all of Madison; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was actively involved in the lives of his nieces Jovan, Diona and Amyah.

Interment was at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 5 at Morgan Memorial Park in Madison.

Honorary pallbearers were Hank Brown, Kenny Ingram, Jimmy L. Love, Leon Binion, Otis Ingram and Linwood Peoples. Flower ladies were Barbara Canteen and Mary Binion.
