Entered into rest on April 4, 2000 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, MR. SAMUEL BARNETT WINGFIELD, 60, of Martinez, husband of Mrs. Frances Bell Wingfield. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday,April 6, 2000 at 3:30p.m. at Madison Memorial Cemetery, Madison, GA, with Dr. Jim Ross from Madison Baptist Church and Reverend William Kitchen from First Baptist Church of Eatonton officiating. Additional survivors include his mother, Mrs. Pearl Simmons Wingfield of Eatonton; one sister, Mrs. Joane Wingfield Miller and her husband Mr. Bob Miller of Eatonton; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Helen Lawrence of Madison, two aunts, Mrs. Anna Avery and Mrs. Nancy Avery, both of Madison; two nephews, Mr. Steve Miller of Grayson and Mr. Robert Miller of Eatonton; two nieces, Mrs. Marianne clack of Eatonton and Mrs. Susan Roper of Monticello; two uncles, Mr. Brad Simmons of Frostproff, FL, and Mr. Richard Simmons of Jacksonville, FL; twelve great nephews and great nieces. Mr. Wingfield, a native of Frostproof, FL, was a member of Warren Baptist Church and had retired from the Medical college of Georgia as the Assistant controller.
