WILLIAM J. PARKS                   BESSIE PREWITT PARKS

Mr. William J. Parks, 78 of Rutledge, died on June 18, 2011. Mr. Parks was born on October 4, 1932 in Cross Plains, TN. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. 

 

He later married Bessie Prewitt. They lived in Florida for much of their lives. Mr. Parks was retired from the State of Florida where he was a Senior Review Appraiser. Mr. and Mrs. Parks moved to Rutledge in 2000. Since moving to Rutledge, they had attended Rutledge United Methodist Church. 

 

Mr. Parks is survived by his wife, Bessie Parks and one son, Larry Parks, also of Rutledge.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning at 10 am at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Noon in the chapel. Interment will follow at Madison Memorial Park.

Bessie Prewitt Parks, 84 of Rutledge died April 9, 2017.  Mrs. Parks was born December 26, 1932 in Kentucky to Wyatt and Hettie Summers Parks.  She was married to the late William Parks.  

 

Mrs. Parks was retired from the Harris Corporation in Florida.  Mrs. Parks loved decorating homes and was flipping houses long before it was poplar.  She attended Rutledge United Methodist Church since moving here in 2000.

Mrs. Parks is survived by one son, Larry Parks, also of Rutledge.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11AM at the Madison City Cemetery.
