Mrs. Charlene Weatherford Stewart, 66 of Madison, died March 28, 2015.  

 

She was born to Charlie and Beulah Harper Weatherford in Greene County on June 16, 1948.  She married Clayton Stewart and raised their three sons in Madison.  

 

Mrs. Stewart was a member of Cornerstone Christian Center.  She worked as manager of Davis Brothers Restaurant for many years.  She later worked at Thrifty Mac Drugs until her health prevented her from working any longer.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband, Clayton as well as their sons, Clay Stewart (Angela), Jimmy Stewart (Amanda) and Richard Stewart.  Her grandchildren are Alexandra, Brendan, Chelsea, Eric, Bethany, Cynthia and Hunter.  She also leaves two great grandchildren, Tylar and Linzie.  Mrs. Stewart is survived by siblings, Cheryl Ogles (Bobby), Miriam Broughman (Richard), Wander Lemmonds (James), Charlie Weatherford and Susie Outz.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Stewart and a sister, Sylvania Bell.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Monday at 2pm in the Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Madison City Cemetery.
