MARY PAGE WALKER
Mary Page attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville and earned a two year teaching certificate. She taught school in Waynesboro and Brunswick for ten years. Then Georgia changed their requirements for teachers requiring that teachers have a four year degree. Mary Page decided that rather than completing her four years degree, she would go to business school. She went to business school in Atlanta and lived with her Aunt Lillie Shepherd Davis in Decatur. She was living there in the 1940 Census. She spent the rest of her career working in Atlanta for the State of Georgia. She lived in the Georgian Terrace Apartments at the corner of Peachtree and Ponce de Leon during this time.
